The English Department being one of the first departments to start functioning in 1999 as English is taught as one of the compulsory subject at UG courses. The Department has been responsible for the teaching of English for the Degree courses. The College has also adopted the semester system of teaching and evaluation at the M Sc biotechnology course so training the students for communication skill. With this we are putting more emphasis on Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing skills besides Pronunciation. The main thrust of the syllabus is on Communication and Personality Development through activity-based skills, testing their creative abilities.
